Gratitude

November 18th, 2009 by free2beeme received 3 Comments »

Thanksgiving is a time to be truly thankful for all you have, and for all the blessings you have had in the year. However that definition of Thanksgiving is usually swept under the rug. Each passing year the holidays become more commercialized. We fail to teach our children the real meaning of Thanksgiving. So with Thanksgiving around the corner tell me what are the 8 things you are grateful for?

Here’s mine;

1. Family – I am grateful for my wonderful husband and daughter. Even with the death in the family this year has been a blessing for me. The biggest being I found my niece after looking for 15 years.

2. Health – The year started off bad with health (having surgery in March), but has worked it’s way up there. I just recently lost over 40lbs, and it has put me in a great healthy state.

3. Career -  In light of the current economy I am grateful that me and my husband currently still have jobs.

4. Friends – For always being there to give you those honest opinions

5. Charity – That I am still am to be deeply involved with numerous charities/organizations to be awareness to our communities. For being able to donate clothes, household goods to domestic violence shelters, and books to promote literacy.

6. Shelter – With the floods that took place, and with my property flooding I am very grateful that my house was not damaged.

7. Finances – I am very grateful that my finances are in tact, to where my husband and myself can provide for our family.

8. Social Networks – For meeting new people, and having such positive site as these to have a voice

So there you have it! Now what’s yours?

May you all be blessed my fellow 8ERS!!!

I am grateful for the following things:

    1. My family – I have two lovable children, a supportive husband and a multitude of family members that I am thankful for. I am glad that my husband doesn’t have to be gone to war right now and he is able to be here with us.

    2. My faith – I am continually striving for a closer relationship with God. I am just happy that I can do that freely.

    3. My life – God didn’t have to let me see another day, but he has and I am going to try to live my life to the fullest.

    4. My friends – I have truly been blessed with great friends. Though I lost a dear one this year, everything she taught me remains in my heart. Having lost another has made me realize that life is short and I need to make the most of it.

    5. My health – Between my children and I, we have seen many doctors this year, but I am thankful that it isn’t any worse than what it is.

    6. My opportunities – This year I have had the opportunity to support my husband and his musical dreams. I am grateful that I was able to find out about things and be there to encourage him to participate. I have finished my real estate courses so I will be testing soon.

    7. My home – We are blessed to be first-time homeowners and it is a blessing.

    8. My finances – I am grateful that the Lord is watching over my family and taking care of us.

This Thanksgiving I have a lot to be thankful for. I am thankful all of the time, but this is the time for serious reflection. You never know what tomorrow will bring so be thankful for today.

    God Bless!!

it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain’t working. Any ideas
